He put a ring on it!

I am definitely in the middle of wedding season!  I have so many friends getting married, and it has been so fun to watch them go through the engagement journey.

I was so excited to work with Sacha who wanted to treat her friend that was getting engaged.  After he popped the question, they were going to meet with friends to celebrate.  Sacha thought these engagement 'bling' pops would be the perfect treat!

We did monogrammed tags with the bride-to-be's new initials.  So exciting!

Thanks, Sacha!  And best wishes to the happy couple!

Shower in a Box

Oh this is a fun one!  I am a sucker for any wedding shower, but this story is too cute.

So precious Shelby lives and works in Dallas and one of her co-workers, Amy, is based in Atlanta.  They have been wedding planning Amy's big day for months now!  Shelby and the fellow Dallas workers wanted to throw Amy a shower but given she is in Atlanta, they came up with the 'Shower in a Box' theme.  How fun!  Shelby is meticulous with her party planning details and never disappoints.  So when her boss saw everything Shelby planned, he decided to just fly Amy to Big D for a surprise shower!

And of course Shelby knew no party is complete without cake pops!  Their color scheme was yellow, teal, white and navy.  We went with the first three colors for sprinkle pops and then Shelby would use navy ribbon to tie on her adorable tags.

So I shipped the pops off to Dallas so eager to see what Shelby would do, and per usual, she did not disappoint! :)

Thanks, Shelby!  And best wishes to Amy and Rick!

Going to the Chapel...

Is it just me or is wedding season officially here and in full swing?  I am so excited for all the weddings I have coming up for friends here and back home!  Plus, I am getting so many orders for bridal shower treats and wedding favors.  These are my favorite orders because there is just something so fun about engagements and weddings.

One of my friends, Ashley, is also in wedding season mode.  She was hosting a wedding shower for a co-worker and wanted to think of something that was not too frilly since the shower would be at their office for all their co-workers.  We came up with a milk chocolate and white chocolate combo and focused on an assortment of cake pops.

I've heard they were quite the hit!  Thanks Ash, and best wishes to the happy couple!

The Dotted Line

If you live in Nashville you know the BEST place for invitations, stationery, gifts and treats is The Dotted Line.  You feel like a kid in a candy store the minute you walk in!  So imagine how thrilled I was when owner Troy Solarek contacted me wanting to carry CakeWalk treats at The Dotted Line.

The Dotted Line is all about pink and glitter, so I came up with this sweet pink and brown cupcake cake bite as the signature Dotted Line treat.

Are these not too cute for words??

Stop by today to pick up a treat for your friends, kids or yourself!  You'll be glad you did. :)

Let them eat cake!

This weekend I had the pleasure of making the cutest cupcake cake bites for a Marie Antoinette themed bridal shower my dear friend Courtney was hosting for her soon to be sister-in-law.  The SIL is an ultra-girly girl and everything was going to be pink!  I thought these sweet cake bites would be the perfect favor.  I did a classic white cake with cream cheese frosting for the cake balls.  The "cupcake wrapper" is made of white chocolate, and for a final touch, a sprinkle of glitter.

My friend Courtney started Courtney Callahan Paper and is a pro when it comes to hosting parties.  She makes sure every last detail is perfected.  Check out the fabulous 'Let them eat cake' tags she made for the cake bite favors.  To see other fun details from the shower go to Courtney's blog from Paper to Party.

Welcome to CakeWalk!

Welcome to CakeWalk!  I am so excited for this new venture.  I love to bake.  I love to decorate.  I love to create.  CakeWalk allows me to do all that and more.  I am from Dallas, TX and several years ago was home visiting when my mom told me about this fabulous place called The Cake Ball Company.  We stopped by, and I immediately was hooked!  Since then, I have been creating and making all types of cake balls, cake pops and cake bites.

CakeWalk can cater to all your needs from sweet treats to serve at a baby shower, wedding party favors, hostess gifts, kids birthday party treats, Christmas presents and so much more.  Let me work with you to bring little bites of bliss to your next gathering.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Here are some of my favorites I have done over the years.
