Boy or Girl?

Baby showers are so fun, but I think it is even more fun when the parents-to-be are not finding out the gender of the baby.  I always hear people say, 'oh but then you cannot do pink or blue...'

Well, no worries!  CakeWalk loves a good gender neutral shower.  Sweet friend Leigh Ann was in planning mode for a friend who was expecting and not finding out the sex.  She came up with the cutest safari theme.  Lions and tigers and...giraffes, oh my! :)  She wanted to let the decorations speak for themselves and keep the sweet treats simple.  We went with upside down cake pops in chocolate and classic white.

Since they were being served at the shower, we went with the theme's colors of yellow and green for the liners.

Thanks, Leigh Ann, and best wishes to the mom-to-be.  Cannot wait to find out if it's a boy or girl!

Party Time

Nothing says a party like cake bites! :)  I really think they are the perfect item to serve during any soiree.  No wrapper, no stick, no messy frosting.  Just pop in that delicious bite of heaven!

My latest client was hosting a party with a pink and green theme, so we went with cake bites in those colors.  They loved the added drizzle!

Many thanks and cheers!

Little Boy Blue...and Green!

Cake bites are the new treat for baby showers!  I remember years ago you couldn't have a baby shower without having petits fours.  Well now cake bites have taken over as the 'it' treat to serve at a baby shower.  So cute and delicious and perfect to pop one or two without feeling guilty. :)

I was excited to do this simple baby blue and green theme for a client's recent baby shower.  It is so classic.

Don't you think the white drizzle just gives it that perfect touch!

Best wishes to the mom-to-be and new baby boy!

Pretty, Pretty Princess

What little girl doesn't grow up dreaming of being a princess?  Well that's the beauty of a little girl's birthday...she gets to be the princess!

New friend Kristen is throwing her youngest daughter, Caroline, a princess themed dance party.  You should see these invitations.  By far the most adorable invitation ever!  So, in sticking with the pink princess theme, she opted for pink glittery and pearly cake pops to pass out as favors.

Thanks, Kristen!  And happiest birthday wishes to Princess Caroline!

It's a girl!

I laugh as I type this title because a friend recently read my 'It's a boy!' post from last week and thought I was announcing I was pregnant and having a boy. :)

So, sorry for any confusion but this one is about a new friend Maggie and the sweet shower she hosted for friend expecting a little girl.  She wanted to really play up the pink, girly theme, so we went with pink coated cake pops with glitter sprinkles.

Thanks, Maggie!  And all the best to the mom-to-be!

Two Sweet Peas!

Lately it seems everyone I know is pregnant!  Which means...more baby showers!  I love baby showers.  All the gifts and everyone oohing and aahing.  Plus of course, sweet treats!

Sweet Kristina was hosting a baby shower for her sister, Becky, who is expecting twins!  A boy and a girl. :)  Kristina came up with the adorable theme 'Two Sweet Peas.'  She decided to do pea cake pops as the favors.

And in honor of the two sweet peas themselves...

Thanks, Kristina!  And all the best to Becky and those two sweet peas. :)

The Dotted Line

If you live in Nashville you know the BEST place for invitations, stationery, gifts and treats is The Dotted Line.  You feel like a kid in a candy store the minute you walk in!  So imagine how thrilled I was when owner Troy Solarek contacted me wanting to carry CakeWalk treats at The Dotted Line.

The Dotted Line is all about pink and glitter, so I came up with this sweet pink and brown cupcake cake bite as the signature Dotted Line treat.

Are these not too cute for words??

Stop by today to pick up a treat for your friends, kids or yourself!  You'll be glad you did. :)

It's a boy!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of making some treats for my friend and morning anchor extrordinare, Julie Kroenig's baby shower.  Check her out each morning on WKRN from 4-7am and she will make your mornings brighter for sure.

Julie and hubby Jonathan are having a baby boy, so the hostesses requested chocolate cake pops dipped in milk chocolate and really wanted to play up the baby boy blue theme.

My husband and I also had the honor of attending the fantastic couples shower at yummy Valentino's and these delectable treats were quite a hit!  Thanks Jordan and Bernadette for thinking of CakeWalk and best wishes to Julie, Jonathan and their sweet baby boy.  Cannot wait to meet him!

Small Pea. Big Party.

Some of you may have seen my earlier post about the apple cake pops I created for my dear friend Whitney's apple themed baby shower.  Well I was certainly honored when I got the call from her sister, Shelby, to do cake pops for the shower she was hosting for Whit.  Shelby has such an eye for detail, so I knew this would be fun.  She shared the theme was tulips with a red and teal color motif honoring of course, the Pea.  That's what they call the baby. :)  She asked for tulip cake pops, and I think they turned out great!

Now check out what an incredible job Shelby did packaging and presenting them!
