Sunset Safari

Summer is officially here and that means outdoor events...Movies in the Park, drinks on a patio somewhere and trips to the Nashville Zoo.  The Nashville Zoo is truly top notch and one of their most exciting events is now just months away.  Sunset Safari is a one of a kind event that combines eats, treats and libations from some of Nashville's top restaurants, caterers and bakeries with incredible music and of course friendly animals!

The Sunset Safari Kick-off Party was the perfect way to officially start the countdown to this fantastic event.  And no party is complete without cake pops! With a safari theme we went with milk chocolate pops with gold sprinkles.

Cannot wait to see everyone at the Zoo in September!

It's a hoot!

I think I fell in love with owls even before I became a Chi Omega. :)  They are just so fun, and I love that they are so popular now!

CakeWalk owl pops have definitely been a hit!  Fellow Chi-O alum Jane called wanting cake pop treats for her daughter's birthday luncheon.  Of course she wanted owls, and since Jane's granddaughters are big fans of pink and red, we decided to use that as our color scheme.

And it's not a birthday celebration without sprinkle pops!

Thanks, Jane, and best wishes to the birthday girl!

Party Time

Nothing says a party like cake bites! :)  I really think they are the perfect item to serve during any soiree.  No wrapper, no stick, no messy frosting.  Just pop in that delicious bite of heaven!

My latest client was hosting a party with a pink and green theme, so we went with cake bites in those colors.  They loved the added drizzle!

Many thanks and cheers!

Three times the celebration!

Birthday parties for little girls can be so fun to plan, but can you imagine having three back to back to back?  Mom-extraordinaire Kristen is in that exact situation every year, but she proves to truly be the ultimate hostess with the mostess!  Just coming off of one daughter's princess themed party she hosted a party celebrating all three daughters' birthdays.  The theme was pink and orange and you should have seen her decorations.  Too cute!  For favors, we went with the ever popular sprinkle pops in pink and orange.

Thanks, Kristen and happy birthday girls!

Shower in a Box

Oh this is a fun one!  I am a sucker for any wedding shower, but this story is too cute.

So precious Shelby lives and works in Dallas and one of her co-workers, Amy, is based in Atlanta.  They have been wedding planning Amy's big day for months now!  Shelby and the fellow Dallas workers wanted to throw Amy a shower but given she is in Atlanta, they came up with the 'Shower in a Box' theme.  How fun!  Shelby is meticulous with her party planning details and never disappoints.  So when her boss saw everything Shelby planned, he decided to just fly Amy to Big D for a surprise shower!

And of course Shelby knew no party is complete without cake pops!  Their color scheme was yellow, teal, white and navy.  We went with the first three colors for sprinkle pops and then Shelby would use navy ribbon to tie on her adorable tags.

So I shipped the pops off to Dallas so eager to see what Shelby would do, and per usual, she did not disappoint! :)

Thanks, Shelby!  And best wishes to Amy and Rick!

Tie-Dye Party

We all know by now how much I love birthday parties, but even more so, I just love a good party theme!

I was excited when new friend Sacha called wanting cake pop favors for her daughter's birthday party but was thrilled to learn it was a tie-dye themed party.  How fun and unique!  She shared the party colors were pink, purple, green and blue, so we went with sprinkle pops in each color.

I also wanted to incorporate the tie-dye theme onto the pops.  I found this fabulous edible glitter dust that did just the trick!

These pictures don't even do it justice!  I'm still working on my photography skills. :)

Thanks, Sacha!  Here's hoping everyone had a psychedelic good time and best wishes to the birthday girl!

Louisiana Saturday Night

Having lived in Louisiana for several years and still having family there, I can tell you one of my favorite things to eat is crawfish!  My mother-in-law is a fabulous cook and makes the most incredible dishes with crawfish (and butter, lots of it!).  But my most favorite way to eat it is at a crawfish boil.  There is nothing better than an old fashioned Louisiana crawfish boil complete with potatoes, corn and cake pops! ;)

Louisiana natives but now Nashville implants, Caroline and Alan are throwing a crawfish boil tonight and wanted cake pops to serve as their sweet treat.  Caroline and I thought about creating little crawfish pops but opted for classic red sprinkle pops.

We thought wrapping them with raffia would add a rustic Louisiana feel.

Enjoy those mud bugs and save some for me!  Thanks, Caroline!

Tweed Turns One!

If you live in Nashville and are not shopping at Tweed, you are missing out!  It is seriously the cutest baby outfitters.  I like to call it Anthropologie for babies. :)  Every visit in I find new fun goodies, and adorable owner, Maggie, always has everything displayed in the most unique way.  Maggie is one of those people that is just plain cool.  You just want to be her friend.  She is so helpful, passionate about her store and puts the sweetest, loving touches into the way she wraps each gift you select.

All that to say, Tweed's turning one!!!  Tomorrow!  Maggie is throwing a huge party celebrating Tweed with lots of fun giveaways and of course, sweet treats.  She wanted to serve cake pops for the kids because what could be cuter or more delicious? ;)

She loves stars and thought they went perfectly with her party invites.

So we went with these yellow stars that of course would not be complete without some glitter.

And it would not be a birthday party without my birthday sprinkle pops!

I cannot wait to see how Maggie packages and displays these!  She is so talented and has such a creative eye.

So be sure and swing by Tweed in Edgehill Village tomorrow, April 16th from 10am to 4pm for CakeWalk cake pops, fun Tin Can Treats and of course precious clothing, toys, books and gifts from the cutest baby outfitters!

Thanks, Maggie and Happy Birthday Tweed!

Pretty, Pretty Princess

What little girl doesn't grow up dreaming of being a princess?  Well that's the beauty of a little girl's birthday...she gets to be the princess!

New friend Kristen is throwing her youngest daughter, Caroline, a princess themed dance party.  You should see these invitations.  By far the most adorable invitation ever!  So, in sticking with the pink princess theme, she opted for pink glittery and pearly cake pops to pass out as favors.

Thanks, Kristen!  And happiest birthday wishes to Princess Caroline!
