Take me out to the ballgame

For those of you who may not know, I am a HUGE baseball fan.  Huge.  So I was thrilled when my ever so talented friend, Courtney, called and said she was doing a baseball theme for her brother's rehearsal diner.  Her brother, the groom, is from St. Louis and a huge Cardinals fan.  Her soon to be SIL, the bride, is from Chicago and a huge White Sox fan.  So the theme was set.

Courtney is the fabulous mind behind Courtney Callahan Paper and never ceases to amaze me with the unbelievable party themes and details she creates.  She knew the rehearsal dinner would not be complete without baseball cake bites.

How fun are these?

We shipped them off to Court, and then she packaged them with custom Cards and Sox tags for each guest.

They turned out great! Thanks, Courtney and best wishes to the new happy couple!

Sip and See

Hope you all are enjoying Summer!  I know I am. :)  We just got back from a wonderful trip to NYC, but it's great to be back in the swing of all things CakeWalk!

We all know how much I love baby showers, but I am all about the Sip and See these days.  It's so fun because you get to officially introduce your little one, everyone oohs and aahs and of course, there's always good food.

Sweet Maggie knew the Sip and See she was hosting for a friend would not be complete without cake pops.  To honor the new little girl, we went with classic pink sprinkle pops.

Thanks, Maggie and all the best to the new mom and sweet little one.

CakeWalk is on vacation! :)

We will return and be ready for orders starting June 20th.  Many thanks!

Sunset Safari

Summer is officially here and that means outdoor events...Movies in the Park, drinks on a patio somewhere and trips to the Nashville Zoo.  The Nashville Zoo is truly top notch and one of their most exciting events is now just months away.  Sunset Safari is a one of a kind event that combines eats, treats and libations from some of Nashville's top restaurants, caterers and bakeries with incredible music and of course friendly animals!

The Sunset Safari Kick-off Party was the perfect way to officially start the countdown to this fantastic event.  And no party is complete without cake pops! With a safari theme we went with milk chocolate pops with gold sprinkles.

Cannot wait to see everyone at the Zoo in September!

Boy or Girl?

Baby showers are so fun, but I think it is even more fun when the parents-to-be are not finding out the gender of the baby.  I always hear people say, 'oh but then you cannot do pink or blue...'

Well, no worries!  CakeWalk loves a good gender neutral shower.  Sweet friend Leigh Ann was in planning mode for a friend who was expecting and not finding out the sex.  She came up with the cutest safari theme.  Lions and tigers and...giraffes, oh my! :)  She wanted to let the decorations speak for themselves and keep the sweet treats simple.  We went with upside down cake pops in chocolate and classic white.

Since they were being served at the shower, we went with the theme's colors of yellow and green for the liners.

Thanks, Leigh Ann, and best wishes to the mom-to-be.  Cannot wait to find out if it's a boy or girl!

It's a hoot!

I think I fell in love with owls even before I became a Chi Omega. :)  They are just so fun, and I love that they are so popular now!

CakeWalk owl pops have definitely been a hit!  Fellow Chi-O alum Jane called wanting cake pop treats for her daughter's birthday luncheon.  Of course she wanted owls, and since Jane's granddaughters are big fans of pink and red, we decided to use that as our color scheme.

And it's not a birthday celebration without sprinkle pops!

Thanks, Jane, and best wishes to the birthday girl!

Let the good times roll!

We all know I love a good crawfish boil, especially in Louisiana!  So, I was thrilled to learn some of our dear friends from Louisiana were traveling to Nashville to show us Music City folks how crawfish is really done. :)

Sweet Amy came early for some girl time with her adorable daughter and precious niece.  She wanted to take a treat to their hosts for the weekend, so she thought what's better than cake pops?  In sticking with the 'mudbug' theme, we went with red and brown sprinkle pops.

Check out the fun arrangement we did!

Thanks, Amy and here's hoping everyone enjoyed the crawfish!

Congrats, Grad!

The last couple of weeks have been all about graduation!  Everything from pre-K and middle school graduations to graduating from college.  I have loved being able to provide treats for all the grads!

This one though has to be my favorite!  Sweet Elizabeth contacted me about doing cake pops for a brunch her family was hosting in honor of her and a friend that were both graduating from Vanderbilt.  The theme was a spring, floral scheme, but they wanted to stick with traditional Vandy black, gold and white colors.

We decided to do sprinkle pops in white and gold and accent with with black gingham, yellow and white ribbon.

Elizabeth mentioned she and her mom were making tags to add on to the pops, and having met Elizabeth, I knew she would not disappoint and they would be too cute.  However I was blown away when I saw the pics of how they displayed the pops.

They made them into topiary pots!  Have you ever seen anything so adorable?  The sweet tags say, 'May our friendship continue to bloom. Love, Alex and Elizabeth.'  Love it!!!  I will definitely be stealing this topiary idea. :)

Many thanks to Elizabeth, and congratulations on your graduation and new job!

He put a ring on it!

I am definitely in the middle of wedding season!  I have so many friends getting married, and it has been so fun to watch them go through the engagement journey.

I was so excited to work with Sacha who wanted to treat her friend that was getting engaged.  After he popped the question, they were going to meet with friends to celebrate.  Sacha thought these engagement 'bling' pops would be the perfect treat!

We did monogrammed tags with the bride-to-be's new initials.  So exciting!

Thanks, Sacha!  And best wishes to the happy couple!
