Small Pea. Big Party.

Some of you may have seen my earlier post about the apple cake pops I created for my dear friend Whitney's apple themed baby shower.  Well I was certainly honored when I got the call from her sister, Shelby, to do cake pops for the shower she was hosting for Whit.  Shelby has such an eye for detail, so I knew this would be fun.  She shared the theme was tulips with a red and teal color motif honoring of course, the Pea.  That's what they call the baby. :)  She asked for tulip cake pops, and I think they turned out great!

Now check out what an incredible job Shelby did packaging and presenting them!

Happy Birthday, Laura!

I love first birthday parties.  There is something so fun and sweet about celebrating a little one's first year of life. :)  So, I was thrilled when I got the call to make some treats for a darling little girl's first birthday.  The theme for the party is cupcakes, so how perfect are these cupcake cake bites!  We stuck with the purple and pink motif they were using for the party.

The cake bites are just perfect for kids' parties because they are just the right sized treat for the little ones. :)

Happy birthday, Laura!

Robo-Pops

My mom was in town last week, and we had the best time trying out some new cake pops.  These were by far some of our favorites!

So of course this weekend I just had to make more.  How great would these be for a little boy's birthday party??  They are so fun and unique.  Plus, I just love the eyes.  I feel like they are just staring at me saying, "Aren't we so cute?"

I decided to take some to my good friend at Tweed Baby Outfitters (Anthropologie for babies!) to see what the kids thought, and they were such a hit!

I think we found some new CakeWalk fans! :)

Music Row SunTrust Customer Appreciation

This morning I had the honor of helping the Music Row SunTrust honor their customers.  I made cake pops for their Customer Appreciation Day.  Since they are the Music Row branch and cater only to those in the entertainment industry, I wanted to find a way to incorporate the SunTrust colors (blue, orange and yellow) with a music theme.

So what better display than records??

We decided on two different pops.  Golden butter cake dipped in milk chocolate...

And a classic white cake with white chocolate combo.  How fun are the SunTrust sprinkles?

I think the display was a huge hit!  Who doesn't love a little Van Halen, Steve Miller Band and James Taylor with cake pops?

Thanks SunTrust!  I hope your customers enjoyed the cake pops!

An apple a day...

One of my closest friends from college is pregnant!  We are all so excited for her and have been looking forward to hosting a baby shower for her since November. :)  The mom-to-be is not finding out the sex of the baby, so we came up with a clever "apple of her eye" theme.  I immediately knew I wanted to make apple cake pops as party favors for our guests.

Did they not turn out so cute?

The baby's nursery is navy, so we figured apple green was the perfect compliment to our color scheme.  I just love the "an apple a day..." tags by Courtney Callahan Paper.  Click here to see other fun details from the day!

Let them eat cake!

This weekend I had the pleasure of making the cutest cupcake cake bites for a Marie Antoinette themed bridal shower my dear friend Courtney was hosting for her soon to be sister-in-law.  The SIL is an ultra-girly girl and everything was going to be pink!  I thought these sweet cake bites would be the perfect favor.  I did a classic white cake with cream cheese frosting for the cake balls.  The "cupcake wrapper" is made of white chocolate, and for a final touch, a sprinkle of glitter.

My friend Courtney started Courtney Callahan Paper and is a pro when it comes to hosting parties.  She makes sure every last detail is perfected.  Check out the fabulous 'Let them eat cake' tags she made for the cake bite favors.  To see other fun details from the shower go to Courtney's blog from Paper to Party.

Welcome to CakeWalk!

Welcome to CakeWalk!  I am so excited for this new venture.  I love to bake.  I love to decorate.  I love to create.  CakeWalk allows me to do all that and more.  I am from Dallas, TX and several years ago was home visiting when my mom told me about this fabulous place called The Cake Ball Company.  We stopped by, and I immediately was hooked!  Since then, I have been creating and making all types of cake balls, cake pops and cake bites.

CakeWalk can cater to all your needs from sweet treats to serve at a baby shower, wedding party favors, hostess gifts, kids birthday party treats, Christmas presents and so much more.  Let me work with you to bring little bites of bliss to your next gathering.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Here are some of my favorites I have done over the years.
